Are you ready to get a head start on crafting for Easter? I’ve got an adorable Easter photo frame craft with bunnies for you to create!
I think you’ll enjoy making the photo frame with your kids or grandkids, or just have fun making it on your own like I did.
The main supplies needed are inexpensive, so I’d label this frame craft as budget-friendly.
The unfinished wood craft frame was on sale at Hobby Lobby. Dollar Tree has lots of ribbons to choose from and a variety of Easter bunny embellishments.

EASTER PHOTO FRAME CRAFT WITH BUNNIES
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- 8×10 unfinished wood frame
- Hobby Lobby
- wood beads (optional for hanger)
- felt bunny shapes
- hot glue gun
- FolkArt craft paint
- Patina #2951CA
- Apple Barrel white paint
- variety of ribbons
- paint brush
- scissors
- Q-tips or white mini pom poms
- lighter (optional)
You can hang the photo frame from the pre-drilled holes on the back or prop it on a small easel.
You can also make a wooden bead hanger, string it with twine or skinny ribbon, and then hot glue it on the back side.
STEPS FOR CRAFTING AN EASTER BUNNY FRAME
STEP 1 – PAINT THE FRAME AND ATTACH THE BUNNIES
Paint 2 coats of craft paint on the photo frame. To speed up drying time in between the 2 coats you can use a hair dryer.
Use hot glue to attach the bunny embellishments. My bunnies are made of felt, but you can paint wooden ones and attach with hot glue, also.
To make the bunny tails, I cut off the ends of Q-tips and used hot glue to attach them to the bunnies.
STEP 2 – DOT THE PHOTO FRAME
Use the end of a paint brush to dip in the paint and make dots on the edge of the photo frame.
STEP 3 – MAKE RIBBON STRIPS
Cut strips from a variety of ribbons and dove tail the ends of the wider ribbon.
To prevent the ribbon from fraying you can run a lighter over the ribbon ends. This step is optional.
STEP 4 – CREATE THE BOW AND ATTACH TO THE PHOTO FRAME
Layer and criss cross the ribbons in an ‘X’ fashion. I used 6 different ribbons. Some were 3 strips and others were 2 strips.
Squeeze the middle of the ‘X’ together tightly and us the skinniest ribbon to tightly tie together and tie it once again.
Use hot glue to attach the ribbon bow to the photo frame.
Once attached, arrange and fluff your bow.
I made a cute little “Happy Easter” print to place in the frame, but you can place a favorite family picture inside.
Wouldn’t a photo of your child sitting on the Easter bunny’s lap be super cute?

What a cute little frame. I love the spring colors, and they go great together. It would be adorable with a picture of my kids with the Easter bunny when they were littler! Pinned.
